Thoth

Thoth, Seshat and Amun write the name of the King on the Tree of Life.

Thoth was considered one of the more important gods of the Egyptian pantheon. His chief cult shrine was at Khemennu, where he was the head of the local company of gods, later renamed Hermopolis by the Greeks.

He was considered the heart and tongue of Ra as well as the means by which Ra's will was translated into speech. He was associated with the moon, arbitration, magic, writing, science, and the judging of the dead.

He was a friend of Khonsu the moon god from Karnak. He took down the records of the Weighing of the Heart. And he is known to have outwitted Ra so that Nut might have her children.

Thoth is shown as an ibis-headed man or as an ibis or baboon.
