The elaborately carved brass and copper plates, bowls and boxes are another traditional souvenir of Egypt. The upstairs workshop and shop of the Three Brothers Copper and Brass Engraving is a great place to see a wide variety of metal goods and get a demonstration of the various engraving, inlay and acid dying techniques that comprise this artistry. The products of the copper workshops of Egypt are known far and wide, and we recently bought a copper plate in Las Vegas as a souvenir of the Luxor Hotel that proudly displayed the "Made in Egypt" hallmark on the back.
