During the Eid el Fitr Feast, and maybe on other days, there is a market place beside the El Hussein Mosque at the Women's Gate.
The El Hussein Mosque is the most sacred in Egypt, containing reliques. The exterior of the Mosque has a beautiful set of sun shades that are opened during the day.

The Stall were very colorful and contained charms and other items. I bought a Hand of Fatima and some lovely blue eye beads to ward off envy and a plaque with a verse from the Koran to bless the house.
