Shopping in Egypt - Khan el Khalili Cairo- Melege Bazaar- Statues of Pharaohs and Gods |

Souvenirs at the Khan el Khalili Pharonic statues are one of the favorite souvenirs from Egypt. These can be made of resin, composite, wood, or carved from stone. These statues are usually reproductions of statues of gods, sometimes interpreted from tomb depictions of gods. Sometimes, very famous Pharaohs, such as Tutankhamun or Akhenaten are there, as well as the every present reproductions of the cat statues and Nefertiti. A shop that has a good variety of things is a great place to spend 30 minutes or an hour. The shops in the Khan are especially good for this type of shopping, as they are less hectic and crowded than the shops in the markets at the historical sites. The Melege Bazaar had a very good selection.
